  Glyphs writes COLR tables regardless of outline format as long as they existed. And I suppose people would mostly export CFF I suppose. Never had any complaints.

  That looks like a pretty good reason to switch. As I said, I can help with the migration and maintainance. I approximately spend one or two hours a year on server maintainance (mostly updating).

  1000 $ per year seems quite high. Server costs for our forum are 102 € (~120$) per year.

  We use discourse for our forum. And I’m very happy with it. We self host on a Hetzner server for less than 4 € per month. And I checked some time ago and there is an importer for vanilla forums.
